Selected topics from Chapters 1-3 and 5-10 in the textbook.

We will cover the basics of analysis and design in feedback control systems. After covering some review material on matrix theory, I will focus on modeling of dynamical systems, ranging from electrical, mechanical, and chemical systems; LTI systems, in general. We will then move to stability analysis using the state-space methods, root-locus, and frequency-response. The course will emphasize on state-space theory.

If time permits, I would like to introduce some advanced concepts, namely, structured control, genericity properties, and LMI (Linear Matrix Inequalities) formulations.
