Chapter 1-7 (selected topics) of the textbook.

We will cover the basics of analysis and design in feedback control systems. After a couple of review lectures, I will focus on modeling of dynamical systems, ranging from electrical, mechanical, and chemical systems; LTI systems, in general. We will then move to stability analysis using root-locus, frequency-response, and state-space methods. The course will emphasize on state-space theory and Lyapunov analysis.

If time permits, I would like to introduce some advanced concepts, namely, structured control, genericity properties, and LMI (Linear Matrix Inequalities) formulations.

I would assume a sound understanding of 'Linear Algebra' and 'Signal and Systems'. If concepts like vector spaces, LTI systems, convolution, Laplace, Fourier, and
