Work on the Visible Man Data Set

This work is the direct result of everything I have learned during my 2005 summer internship at GE Research Center, Visualization Lab.

I am trying to learn ITK and VTK. These images are my first results. I work with the fresh CT scan from the Visible Man and Woman data sets. First I used ITK to label the body, bone, muscle and brain, using both filtering and region growing techniques. Then I created 3D models from the labels using VTK. The resulting models were opened in ParaView and then saved as PNG files. Click on images to see them bigger.

The Visible Man CT data set contains 1245 grayscale images. The Visible Woman data set contains 1733 images. See here 5 out of 1245 images from the Visible Man CT scan.
